Seodaepo House Visit – A Nostalgic Traditional BBQ Spot in Ikseon-dong

Hello! Today, I’d like to share my experience visiting Seodaepo House in Ikseon-dong. The gloomy weather with light snowfall made me crave a warm BBQ spot. Ikseon-dong is full of charming restaurants, and my choice for the day was the nostalgic ‘Seodaepo House.’

Location: A 5-minute walk from Exit 6 of Jongno 3-ga Station

Business Hours:

Weekdays: 14:00 ~ 22:30

Weekends: 13:30 ~ 22:45

The restaurant is slightly tucked away in an alley, but it’s well-known, attracting many visitors. I arrived just as they opened, yet there were already a few groups waiting!

🏠 Seodaepo House Atmosphere

‘Seodaepo House’ exudes the charm of an old, nostalgic eatery. It has also been featured in several dramas, with photos from the filming displayed inside. The combination of Ikseon-dong’s ambiance and the restaurant’s unique vibe makes for a special experience.

The restaurant also has outdoor seating, with plastic covers to block the wind on cold days. During warmer seasons, they remove the covers, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh breeze while dining. The indoor space is quite large, making it suitable for group gatherings as well.

🍖 Taste & Menu

I ordered their signature pork BBQ! The sizzling sound as the meat hit the grill was incredibly satisfying. The pork was delicious, and the side dishes were neatly prepared, enhancing the experience. As expected from a long-established eatery, the quality was top-notch.
